Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE-2017)
Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE-2017) is a state level exam being conducted for admission into 1st-year-degree level professional courses like B.E./B.Tech, M.B.B.S., B.D.S., Agriculture, Forestry, B.V.Sc. and A.H. Homeopathy Degree courses within the Jharkhand State or outside of the State Universities/Colleges/Institutions where there is need of the recommendation to state, the recommendation will be based on Merit-cum-Choice basis prepared from JCECE-2017 Merit List.
The official website of the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board is www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.
Registration is open for JCECE-2017, all the eligible candidates can apply on the official website, www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. The last date for online registration is 16th May 2017.
Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam (JCECE-2017) will be held on 12th June 2017.

Candidates should select the group of examinations as per their choice of PCM, PCB, or PCMB according to courses as follows:
PCM Group-B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc. Agriculture/ B.Sc. Forestry
PCB Group- M.B.B.S./ B.D.S./ B.Sc. Agriculture/ B.Sc. Forestry/ B.V.Sc. and A.H./ B.H.M.S.

The application fee for Gen/ BC I/ BCII is as follows:
PCM Group- Rs.1100
PCB Group- Rs.1100
PCMB Group- Rs.1200
The application fee for SC/ST is as follows:
PCM Group- Rs.550
PCB Group- Rs.550
PCMB Group- Rs.650

JCECE-2017 Application Procedure
Here are the steps to apply for the JCECE-2017 application process.
- Go to the official website of JCECEB, www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in and click on the link “Online Application for J.C.E.C.E.-2017”.
- Under the tab “New Candidate Registration” click on the link “Apply for JCECE-2017”.
- Enter all the relevant information to register yourself.
- A Registration-Id will be generated on the next screen, candidates are advised to note down the Registration-Id that was given, it will be required for further Registration with JCECE-2017.
- In the next step, login with the Registration-Id and your date of birth and click on submit button.
- Now, fill in all the personal and educational details and submit them.
- Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature.
- Now, pay the application fee either online through credit/debit card and net banking or offline through demand draft.
- Candidates are advised to take a printout of the completed application form for future reference.
JCECE-2017 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who fulfill the following eligibility criteria can apply for the JCECE-2017.
Candidate must be a citizen of India and Local/Permanent resident of Jharkhand.
Medical check up of all candidates recommended for admission in all courses will be done by the Board/Institution and after check up, only fit candidates will be treated as eligible for admission.
For Engineering
Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry subject and has obtained at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
There is no lower or upper age limit.
For M.B.B.B./ B.D.S.
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserved category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at the qualifying examination and JCECE-2017.
- For Physically handicapped General Candidates, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology took together in qualifying examination and JCECE-2017 be 45% instead of 50%. In respect of Physically Handicapped reserved category candidate, it is 40%.
- Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission.
For B.Sc. Agriculture and B.Sc. Forestry
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry along with Mathematics or Biology.
- Candidate’s minimum age should be 17 years and maximum 22 years as on 1st July 2017. (3 years relaxation for SC/ST candidate in upper age limit)
For B.V.Sc. and A.H.
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and obtained 50% marks (40% for reserved category)in the aggregate of these subjects.
- Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission.
For B.H.M.S.
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
JCECE-2017 Exam Pattern - Question Paper will be in both Hindi and English languages.
- OMR answer sheet will be used for indicating the answers.
- There will be 3 subject groups for the exam- PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics), PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), and PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology).
- There will be 50 objective type questions from each subject.
- Each correct answer will be given 1 mark and ¼ marks will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
- More than one answer indicated for a question will be deemed as incorrect and will be negatively marked.
- The total duration of each subject’s exam is 1 hour.JCECE-2017 Exam Center

JCECE-2017 Admit Card
Candidates can download the admit card from the official website of JCECEB, www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. Admit Card will be available probably one week before the exam. The Admit Card will bear the candidate’s Roll Number, Name, Father’s Name, Category, SMQ, PH, Photograph, Date of Birth, Subject Group with Name and Address of JCECE-2017 Examination Center allotted. Candidates are informed that Admit Card will not be sent by post. Candidates are advised to take a printout of their admit card preserve it in good condition till the admission process is over. Entry in examination hall will only be allowed with the admit card.
JCECE-2017 Exam Result
The result of the JCECE-2017 will be declared by the last week of June 2017 on the official website of JCECEB,www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. There will be combined merit list along with category-wise merit list for all the candidates participating in the examination. Candidates are advised to keep in touch with the website of the board for the final result.
